TOMATO MACARONI SOUP
In cold weather,everybody desires to stay indoor and relax sipping a cup of piping hot soup. There are many varieties of soup ---- veg and non-veg,and one can choose from among them,according to their own tastes and likings. Here,let us try to make this tomato-based veg one,which is very nutritious and yummy.
Preparation time : 15 mins.
Cooking time : 20 mins.
Servings : 2 - 3 persons
Ingredients :
- Tomato - 500 gms
- Boiled macaroni - 1 cup
- Cheese ( grated ) - 1/2 ( half ) cup
- Garlic paste - 1 full tsp.
- Milk - 1 cup
- Cornflour - 1/2 ( half ) tbsp
- Tomato ketchup - 2 tbsps
- Sugar - 2 tsps
- Cream - 4 tbsps
- Red chilli pwd - 1/2 ( half ) tsp
- Back pepper pwd - 1/2 ( half ) tsp or acc. to taste
- Salt - acc. to taste
Preparation :
Wash and cut all the tomatoes into small pieces. Put them into a vessel or in a cooker, add the garlic paste and 1 and half glass of water,and boil for 10 mins. Cool well,and pour the whole things into a mixie jar,and churn for few seconds. Srain,and keep the puree aside. Discard the skins and the seeds
Boil the macaroni with some salt ,until three-fourth done. Strain,and pour cold water over it,so that they does not stick with each other.
Method :
- Heat a pan / kadhai,put the strained puree,and boil for a little while on medium flame
- Mix the cornflour with some cold milk,and make a smooth paste. Be careful,so that there should be no lumps.
- Add the paste to the puree,and stir. Then,add the milk and simmer on medium flame,until the desired consistency is obtained.
- Mix all the rest of the ingredients,except the cheese.
- Boil for another 1 min.
- Switch off the flame.
- Pour into individual bowl,garnish with grated cheese,and serve piping hot.
