Lemon Rice

LEMON RICE It is a most common dish in southern India. Easy to make,it can be made either with freshly cooked rice or left over rice. Using peanut in this recipe enhances its taste and crunchiness.It is a light dish – anybody can take as a breakfast as well as main course.Follow each steps well, definitely,this dish comes out yummy. Preparation time: 30  mins. + 10 mins. Cooking time: 15 mins. Servings: 3 – 4 persons Ingredients:   Long grained/Basmati Rice – 2 Cups Mungphali/Peanuts – ½ Cup Adrak/Ginger(Grated) – 1 ½ Tsps. Dhuli Urad Dal/Split And Dehusked Black Gram – 1 Tsp. Chana Dal/Bengal Gram – 1 ½ Tsp Curry Patta/Leaves – 15/16 Nos. Sukhi Lal Mirch/Dry Red Chillies – 2 nos. Mustard Seeds – 1 Tsp. Haldi/Turmeric – ½ Tsp. Salt – Acc. To Taste. Sugar – 2 Pinch. Nimbu/Lemon – 1 No. Oil – 2 Tbsps. Preparation :  Wash the rice and cook it in water in advance,and keep aside. Soak the dals together in water for about 30 mins.
